The Montessori section of AES observed their Open Day on October 28, 2023. The event was themed ‘The Way I Learn’. It was a celebration of Montessori education and a platform for parents and guardians to gain a deeper understanding of their child’s academic journey.

The event started with an exploration of the five primary Montessori subjects. These subjects were Sensorial, E.P.I, Language, Maths, and Culture. These subjects were showcased through subject corners, providing a tangible connection to the Montessori methodology. Investiture Ceremony

Accordingly, the AES Student Executive Body, a prestigious entity within the school, inaugurated its newly elected members at the Investiture Ceremony held on October 1st, 2023, at the school’s City Campus. This inauguration marked the beginning of a new chapter for the AES community. Moreover, both the transition of leadership and the acknowledgment of past contributions were highlighted during the ceremony. After all, the AES community looks forward to the journey ahead, under the capable leadership of the new officers. Analogous to the spirit of unity, cooperation, and progress, these attributes will guide the AES community towards achieving its goals and objectives.

Greeting New Leaders

Distinguished individuals composed the council. This council extended warm greetings to the new Presidents, Mr. Hasnain Arif and Ms. Aymen Ahmed. Individuals representing the Boys and Girls Sections were sworn into office amidst a charged atmosphere. Besides the Presidents, the council recognized the new Head Boy, Mr. Sinan Saqib, and Head Girl, Ms. Aimen Ahmad. Both the new Head Boy and the Head Girl were inducted into their roles with great fanfare.

Recognition of Past Contributions

Ex-members of the Student Executive Council and other AES alumni participated in the ceremony. These individuals, who had served the council and achieved remarkable academic feats, were acknowledged by the council for their contributions. Seerah Week

The commencement of the Seerah Week 2023 celebrations took place across all AES branches on the 9th of October, 2023. This event, which marked the beginning of a week filled with activities designed to foster a deeper understanding of Islamic culture and values, was met with great enthusiasm by the students.

The Islamic Studies Department, along with the Character-Building Department, played a pivotal role in organizing the activities. Their expertise in the field of Islamic studies ensured that the events were not only informative but also engaging. The department’s faculty members, known for their dedication and passion, put forth their utmost efforts to ensure that the celebrations were a success.

The activities planned for the week were varied and comprehensive, catering to a wide range of interests among the students. One such activity was the Naat competition. This competition saw students showcasing their talent for singing Quranic verses in a beautiful melody. The performance of the students was remarkable, with many displaying exceptional vocal skills and knowledge of the Quran.

In addition to the Naat competition, the week also featured an Essay-Writing Competition. This competition provided an opportunity for students to display their literary talents and deepen their understanding of Islamic teachings. AES Community Rallies for Peace and Solidarity

The AES student body kicked off a week-long celebration of Palestine Solidarity Week from the 1st to the 6th of November 2023. This event, held across all branches of the institution, showcased the collective strength and unity of the AES community in Islamabad.

Response to the Gaza Massacres

During the Gaza Massacres of October 2023, our students responded with a show of solidarity and compassion. They mobilized to raise funds for the victims of Israeli brutality, demonstrating their commitment to stand in solidarity with the oppressed.

Education and Awareness Campaign

In addition to fundraising, the school initiated an awareness campaign to educate students about the history of the conflict. This campaign was designed to provide students with a broader perspective on the issue. It enabled them to engage in intelligent conversations on this sensitive topic.

Continuing Support for Victims

Despite the conclusion of Palestine Solidarity Week, the AES community continues its efforts to support the victims of the Gaza Massacres. The AES Social Services Club and the AES Executive Body are collaborating to continue working for the victims.
