Seerah Week
The commencement of the Seerah Week 2023 celebrations took place across all AES branches on the 9th of October, 2023. This event, which marked the beginning of a week filled with activities designed to foster a deeper understanding of Islamic culture and values, was met with great enthusiasm by the students.
The Islamic Studies Department, along with the Character-Building Department, played a pivotal role in organizing the activities. Their expertise in the field of Islamic studies ensured that the events were not only informative but also engaging. The department’s faculty members, known for their dedication and passion, put forth their utmost efforts to ensure that the celebrations were a success.
The activities planned for the week were varied and comprehensive, catering to a wide range of interests among the students. One such activity was the Naat competition. This competition saw students showcasing their talent for singing Quranic verses in a beautiful melody. The performance of the students was remarkable, with many displaying exceptional vocal skills and knowledge of the Quran.
In addition to the Naat competition, the week also featured an Essay-Writing Competition. This competition provided an opportunity for students to display their literary talents and deepen their understanding of Islamic teachings. The topics for the essays were chosen to be relevant and thought-provoking, encouraging students to delve into the depths of their understanding and interpretation of Islam.
The week concluded with a Declamation Contest. This event tested the students’ ability to speak eloquently on a given topic, reinforcing their communication skills and their ability to express their thoughts clearly and articulately. The contestants delivered their speeches with confidence and conviction, demonstrating their command over language and their ability to persuade their audience.
